Introduction

We need some information for the CSS registration process. They contain 4 simple steps you will have to follow and after obtaining them, we deal with the entire process from A to Z and hand it over a ready-to-use service with all the necessary information on how to use it.

Step 1

Each Comparison Shopping Service (CSS for short) requires a website to display its own products. The domain/subdomain must refer to the CSS name we are planning - these two things cannot be completely different from each other different.

Set up a domain or subdomain for CSS and redirect it to our IP:

87.98.162.218

It is important that the redirection is done for both "A" records - both for the domain with with or without the www prefix. Example below:

⚠️ If you use address masking services - e.g. Cloudflare, please turn them off for the time of CSS installation by us - later you will be able to enable them again. It is worth setting the TTL value to the lowest possible - this will speed up the time in which the changes will come into force.

Step 2

The next action we need from you is an email address in the domain as above. Google's requirement is to the email address for communication with them came from the same domain of the main company or (preferably) comparison engine.

If you have an email address, please create a Google account at this address. https://accounts.google.com/SignUp

⚠️ When creating an account, please use the "Use my current email address instead" option instead of creating a new one gmail domain account.

If possible, do not enable two-step verification during the installation of CSS. It can be added after the setup is completed. 

If adding two-step verification is necessary, we encourage you to temporarily use our phone number +48 724 277 703 during the installation (to do this, contact us via email at help@sembot.com or through the chat in the Sembot panel). After the installation is complete, we will change the verification phone number to your selected one. 

Step 3

Please create an account on the Sembot platform - https://app.sembot.io/auth/registerand verify the account via the received email.

⚠️ You can use a different email for registration than for CSS setup and we recommend using the one we use for every day at work and where we are available if you need to contact us.

Setting up an account in the application is free, as part of this free package you need to add projects later (feeds/product files from the shop platform) for the products to be displayed on the CSS page and this is the only one possible way to add them to the comparison page. ⚠️ All you need to install CSS is registration, but nothing stands in the way of starting to use it tools now.

This application, as part of paid packages, is also used to optimize the product feed and generate campaigns product files or ready-made product files for many platforms. We encourage you to try it after purchasing the package there is a free 14-day trial period.

Step 4

Make sure the redirect works - you can use this tool: https://dnschecker.org/#A/ By entering both variants (with www and without) and checking if it searches for our address.

Please send the following information to css@sembot.com:

• Confirmation of redirecting records to 87.98.162.218

• data for logging in to the email account, i.e. login and password - and if it is a different account than Gmail, then also link to login page

• Google login details

• contact details

• logotype

• CSS name (must have domain reflection)

• Sembot account name or email

• The above information is necessary to install the CSS.

⚠️ No confidentiality concerns, all accounts (email, Google) for CSS installation must be new and unused so no worries about data leakage. We can sign NDA if you need.

Additionally, if you need, you can send:

• other graphics to be included in the CSS page

• style preferences, colors, fonts

• tracking tag codes (GTM, GA, etc.)

• privacy policy/terms of use

• other materials you want to include in your CSS
